Njoki Ngumi explains why she doesn’t like to read Kenyan newspapers, and wonders what will happen in 2012. Yet another excellent message from Kuweni Serious!
Why are we – East African youths – running away from activism, NGOs, politics, governance, leadership and many more activities that shape our future in one way or the other? Thinking discussing things like that ain’t sexy?
We’re running away because we think like previous generations; obey because someone else is taking care of you.
we tanzanian youth get many problems when it comes to employment. We are used to the fact that only those who have graduated from college, now the problems comes when we especially teenagers who want to do part time jobs so that we may start saving some money for some of our personal needs which is not a must to involve our parents in them. The real issue is that people dont care about this and in Tanzania it is not intertained but from what i know is that anyone who is 16 can or he or she is able to get employed.
Watching this video, I realize that there is going to be a lot of attention on the Tanzanian election from the East African and global community at large. The Kenyan elections were a mess, the Rwandan election also has some scandals. Can Tanzanians serve as role models for the region?
