Warren Buffett and Jay Z

If we’re going to talk about entrepreneurship or becoming an entrepreneur, then its only right to listen to these two successful gentlemen. These “two great minds sat down with Steve Forbes to discuss their road to success and the lessons they’ve learned along the way. Mr. Carter also reveals towards the end how Blueprint 3 was almost lost during a flight coming back from Hawaii. If this isn’t inspiration, I have no idea what is.”

Most Kingz is Jay Z’s new track.

Bahati was born and raised in Tanzania, and then moved to California to pursue his college education. He graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and a minor in Sociology. Bahati expects to be doing his Masters in African Studies in the near future. He is currently working on starting a t-shirt business and a possible publication of some of his writings. One thing that Bahati cannot live without is music, specifically Hip Hop & Bongoflava which he argues are both the voice of the youth today, and is excited to look into how Bongoflava can be a source of further entrepreneurship among the youth in Tanzania. Bahati believes that Bongoflava can help to reduce poverty in Tanzania, as can a more collective effort among key players.

  1. The Oracle of Omaha is an inspiring figure, and not just the financial aspect of his life plus the now legendary frugal ways. According to his biography “The Snowball : Warren Buffett and the Business of Life” as far back as the 1960 Buffet was heavily involved in the Civil Rights movement.

An interesting story in his bridge building capacity emerged when he was able to persuade his Omaha Rotary club, which then did not admit Jews by using the excuse that “they don’t admit us in their organizations” (ironically the Jews used the same excuse not to admit gentiles). So what Buffet did is he got one of his influential Jewish friend to have him, a gentile, admitted in the Jewish club and break the cycle of exclusion and the excuse it created, and then have his Jewish friend admitted into the Rotary club. Now that is some bridge building.

And of course Jiggah is the ghetto Buffet and Shakespeare all rolled into one. I wish he didn’t have such a ghoulishly checkered past and cursed a bit less though, but then that wouldn’t be Jiggah.
