Back in October 2010, we blogged about an upcoming conference hosted by eLearning Africa which will take place this month (May 25-27) at Mlimani City, Dar-es-Salaam. We recently found out about the timetable for the event, which can be viewed here.
As a brief reminder, the aims of the 2011 conference are as follows:
- Present the perspectives of young people, parents, teachers, community members, governments, companies and civil society organisations;
- Look at attempts to include disadvantaged young Africans in the digital age;
- Discuss policies that promote the use of new technologies to reach youngsters, especially those out of work and out of school;
- Explore how technologies can enable young people living in Africa to become the driving force for social and economic prosperity;
- Compare their experience with that of their contemporaries in other parts of the world.
Anyone interested in how media and education go hand in hand should check this out. See the list of links below to find out how you can contribute either as a conference participant, or as an exhibitor.
