Poll #3 asked “How important do you think the the past is to building Tanzania’s future?” Response choices were “Most important”, “Somewhat important” and “Not important”. The poll was open for a week on the Vijana FM homepage sidebar from September 23rd to 30th.
Results indicated 8 responses:
- 38% responded “Most important”
- 50% responded “Somewhat important”
- 12% responded “Not important”
Some further questions could be asked following this poll: In what ways is Tanzania’s past relevant to building her future? What aspects of the past should we ignore when thinking of the future? Of course, we should also keep in mind the problems of generalizing responses; there may actually be a completely different set of answers among the Tanzanian population.
Thank you to everyone that has been participating in these polls!
