Solutions for Surgery in Africa is an organisation that promotes innovation by young people in order “to help combat the lack of access to surgical care concentrated in sub-Saharan Africa”. Run by health professionals and experts supporting the health sector, the organisation unique opportunities in tech for improving how surgery is made available for underserved populations.
Applications are currently being accepted for this year’s competition to improve access to surgical services. Shortlisted ideas need to be innovative, feasible, impactful, contextually-relevant and connect surgical patients with health systems.
Submission deadline is 21st June 2018, and finalists will be announced a month later.
