Warning: Extremely explicit graphic content between 1:00 and 2:00.
Mkuu, nitaanzia wapi?
Labda tujiulize kwanza: Kwanini tunaacha hivi vitu vinaendelea? Walioko madarakani na sisi watu wakawaida, tunaweza kufanya lolote?
Hii docu inasikitisha sana. Nimeguswa na ile sehemu wanaposema kuwa ‘if the upper class think the problem is not theirs, then they have to re-think because eventually it will knock at their doors’ or something. Such inequality cannot continue indefinately because sooner or later the slum dwellers will say ‘enough is enough’ and start a soft or even brutal revolution. I mean, Kibera is in Nairobi – wakiamua kuanzisha vagi mji mzima patakalika kweli?
What does he/she loose anyway?
Handouts kutoka kwa wahisani hazitoshi – since it creates the dependency cycle we are all familiar with.
Eventually, we will need to improve the conditions of people’s livelihood in such slums so as to start another wave of mass ’emigration’ from such slums. Because, I believe it will be hard to sustain improved living standards in such a crowded setting. Watu wapate nafuu, waondoke, mahala ilipokuwepo slum, pabomolewe itengenezwe public facility – kama park or whatever.
my Monday rant
hii inasikitisha, halafu Nairobi mnaita half london!!!!!
hivi hawa viongozi wanatuchukuliaje?
