What all technology enthusiasts have been waiting for!

We have watched vibrant tech events take place elsewhere in East Africa and wondered when it would happen in Tanzania. The wait is over and we’ve finally got our act together.

From the BarCampDar site:

A few technology developers, startup enthusiasts and entrepreneurs were frustrated with the lack of a technology community spirit in Dar es Salaam and decided to put this together on an extremely short notice. The BarCamp format was chosen because of its simplicity as well as its international network. The aim of this event is really to bring relevant members of the industry together for a collaborative and shared discussion on the state of the industry, where we want to be and how we can get there.

I’m part of the organizing team and we’re encouraging anyone who is in the technology space in Tanzania to attend.  The event is free and is on 7th July (Saba Saba day) so there shouldn’t be any reason why you can’t attend.
